80% less CO₂ emissions when transporting
A refill of Madée weighs 23 grams, while a filled bottle of Madée contains 250 ml of soap. This means almost 11 times less weight to transport. -
80% less CO₂ emissions in storage
Madée's refills take up 15 times less space than regular hand soap bottles on the market. As a result, you also need only 15 times less space for storage. This results in a smaller storage requirement, which in turn leads to lower energy costs for maintaining the storage space. -
Longer shelf life
Powdered hand soap has a longer shelf life than liquid soap. This is because bacteria develop faster in water. As a result, there is a small chance of Madée going past the date. This results in less waste and more efficient use of the product. Less waste means less production and ultimately a lower burden on the environment. By creating products that last longer, we contribute to reducing the overall demand for new products and reduce pressure on natural resources. -
Refillable bottles
We use refillable bottles that last a lifetime. By refilling the bottle again and again with Madée refills, you never have to replace the bottle and avoid producing new bottles. Although plastic bottles are theoretically recyclable, in practice only 5% of all plastic collected actually turns out to be recycled. This is why it is so important to use as little plastic as possible and work with refillable bottles. -

Unique gel texture
When you mix the powder with water, a gel substance is created. This way you get the same experience as with "normal soap." This is unique, Madée is one of the first powdered beauty brands to succeed in creating a gel instead of foam. -
Cardboard packaging
The refills are packaged in paper sachets with a small layer of PP5, this form of plastic is recyclable. This layer is essential to prevent the powder from becoming damp. When the powder becomes moist, there is a chance of bacteria growth which affects the shelf life. By adding a small layer of PP5, we ensure a longer shelf life which prevents waste. -
Recyclable plastic
Our bottles are made of PET plastic, this form of plastic is recyclable. Why did we choose a plastic bottle instead of a glass bottle? A glass bottle is fragile. Children often wash their hands, so the bottle must be safe for them. We believe that it is better to use good plastic bottles, rather than the customer having to buy a new bottle because it broke. -
